glean

glean: Glean is not a GLUT.

The glean project is apprently a benchmark suite for testing graphics card performance. OpenGLEAN was not aware of the glean project until OpenGLEAN had registered a domain name and put significant effort into becoming OpenGLEAN.

Other than a similarity of name, there is no relation to between glean and OpenGLEAN.
