gleandev: The joy of gleaning!
The gleandev library is a subproject of OpenGLEAN. Originally envisioned to house the joystick code from OpenGLEAN and be called "gleanjoy", it is now expected to assume a more general input-device library. The common themes of gleandev devices are:
- Input devices (no output devices planned at this time).
- Mechanical devices primarily expected. Though thermal or other devices might be added.
- Polled devices, rather than event devices, are being selected. Event-driven devices could be added, but that would then fit more into the callback nature of the core library---and without using threads or the like, a true event-driven device would need to be supported by the core library.
Supported in part by SourceForge.net.
